Narendra Modi Confidante Amit Shah to Visit Bihar on 21-September

BJP General Secretary Amit Shah, a confidante of party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, is arriving here on Saturday to draw up the political strategy in the state after the party's break up with JD(U) and also to review preparations for the October 27 rally to be addressed by Modi.

Shah is coming here on September 21 to take part in 100th birth anniversary of former Bihar Chief Minister Bhola Paswan Shastri, BJP SC Morcha president Sanjay Paswan told reporters here on Thursday.

Along with Shah, state BJP leaders, including former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, will attend the anniversary function at S K Memorial hall here, Paswan, a former Union minister of state and who is chairman of the programme, said.

Paswan also said that during his visit Shah would draw up thefuture political strategy for 2014 elections.

He said Shah, BJP General Secretary and a former minister in Narendra Modi government in Gujarat, would also review the preparation for October 27 "Hunkar (roar) rally" at Gandhi Maidan, which will be addressed by Narendra Modi.

It will be the first occasion when Narendra Modi would address a rally in his rival Nitish Kumar's home turf. He is expected to take on Kumar for snapping ties with BJP over his elevation.

Due to Kumar's discomfort, Narendra Modi was kept away from Bihar by BJP both in last general elections as well state assembly polls in 2010.
